We offer this website to you subject to your acceptance of all the terms and conditions set forth below. When you register to join Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts, you are signifying that you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these terms and conditions, please do not register for or use this Website.

Privacy Policy

At SharingSorrows... Healing Hearts, we respect your privacy and do not provide your personal information to any third parties.  We do not ask for any information other than your email address and that is so that we can register you on the site and send you the notifications that you request.  You may choose not to receive any notifications - however, they are intended to be of service to you in your healing process.   If you do not choose to receive any specific notifications, we may occasionally send you an email regarding updates to our site, or account-related communications.

Your financial information used for membership payments is seen only by PayPal to manage payment and is not accessed or stored by Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts. 

If you choose the "remember me" box when you register, so that the website remembers your login name or password, the website places a cookie on your computer.  “Cookies” are small files websites place on your hard drive that allow websites to identify you. Cookies cannot read any other information on your hard drive.

Privacy of User Generated Content

You may elect to submit User Generated Content via the Website. If at any time you share User Generated Content on areas of the site that are generally accessible to other Website users, such content is considered “Public User Generated Content.” If you share Personal Information with other users that you do not share on public areas of the Website, such as in a private message, content is considered “Private User Generated Content.”

You can choose what information you wish to share.  Please be aware that when you post Public Content,  it may be viewed by other users and by the general public.

You may make changes or delete your User Generated Content and the change will be made to the database immediately.  Please note that the content may still exist in a backup  or archive, and so there is a very rare chance that the information my still exist in it's earlier form.

User Generated Content

As a member, you are invited to generate your own content for the website, as blogs, comments and photos ("User Generated Content".)  You represent that your User Generated Content will not infringe on any one else's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights; will not violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation; will not be obscene or contain pornography; will not contain any viruses or other programs intended to damage any system or data; will not violate any one else's rights to privacy; and will not be rude, defamatory, threatening, harassing, or harmful in any way.

Modifications to the Terms of Use

We may make changes  to the Terms of Use and will always have a link to the Terms of Use on the SharingSorrows... Healing Hearts home page.  In case of any significant changes, we will put a special message on the website or let you know by email.  Your continued use of the website after we post any such notification indicates that you accept the changes.  If you do not agree with the Terms of Use or any revisions, please do not use the website.  You may contact us at any time with your concerns.

Age and Eligibility

You must be either 18 years old, or the legal age to form a binding contact, whichever is greater, in order to use the website.  Minors are not to use the website or to send us any personal information.  If you believe we might have any information for or about a minor, please contact us at Rita@sharingsorrows.org, and we will delete the information as soon as possible.

Agency

When you use the website, you are representing that you are using it as an individual and not as a representative of a company or organization.  Furthermore, you represent that you are using it according to it's purpose to create healing communities, following the participation guidelines:

• Participate in a spirit of authentic, constructive sharing that is healing and helpful to you and those in your Community.
• Respond to others by sharing what has been helpful and inspiring to you, and may comfort them. Do not judge or criticize.
• Language used to convince others of your religious, political or other beliefs is prohibited. Members who use such language will lose their privilege to participate.
• Language that is harmful, hateful, explicit, exploitative, or in any way inappropriate is prohibited. Members who use such language will lose their privilege to participate.

Precautions

Content provided by Sharing Sorrows... Healing hearts or provided by other members is for sharing and informational purposes only and is not intended to replace the advice of your physician or other medical provider.  We are not licensed to provide medical care and you should always consult a physician if you have any questions regarding your care.  Content on the website should never cause you to disregard advice from your medical provider or delay in obtaining that advice.  If you think you have a medical emergency, call your doctor or 911 immediately.

Information on the Website

We provide some resource information on the website, but we cannot verify, endorse or vouch for the resources.  We are not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, effectiveness or correct use of information you receive through the website.  Reliance on any information provided by Sharing Sorrows... Healing hearts, or by other members of the site, is solely at your own risk.

We provide links to these resources but we do not investigate the resource website and are not responsible for what they provide to you.  Links to other websites from Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts does not imply that we endorse those sites.  If you decide to leave Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts to go to another site, you do so at your own risk.

Registration and Password

You are responsible for any content submitted using your username and password, whether or not authorized by you.  You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login informaiton and password.  You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your login information or password. You grant SharingSorrows... Healing Hearts the right to use your information in connection with the operation of the Website.

You agree to update your account information, such as providing your current email address, so that you can receive notifications and account-related communications.

Ownership of the Website

All of the content of the website is owned by SharingSorrows... Healing Hearts, except for the User Generated Content.  You may not use it for commercial purposes, modify or create derivative works.  You may reproduce portions for your personal use.  All rights not expressly granted to you are retained by Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts.

Communication with Other Users

Users who wish to communicate privately may do so using our "private message" system and do not need to reveal their personal email addresses.  At any time, you can block communication from another user.  Your communications with other users are solely betweeen you and the other user, and you are solely responsible for the communication.  Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts is not liable for any disputes, loss or damage arisiong out of your communications.

Liability

You agree to hold Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts and its partners, affiliates, service providers, licensors, officers, directors, employees and agents harmless from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages and costs.  These include reasonable legal and accounting fees arising from anything related to any User Generated Content you post or any meetings you arrange via the website, or any violation of the Terms and Conditions, or any violation of any intellectual property third party rights, or any violation of any applicable law in connection with your use of the website.

SharingSorrows... Healing Hearts has many features that are being further developed.  In a rare instance, a feature may change or be removed without notice.  You agree that Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts will not be liable to you or any one else for modifications or suspension of a feature.

User Conduct

If any user is not following the Terms and Conditions, we reserve the right, but not the obligation, to cancel his or her membership.

Content And Warranty Disclaimer

The Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts website is provided "as is."  No representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, are made regarding the operation of the website or its contents.  No representations or warranties of any kind are made regarding merchantability, title, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.  Furthermore, Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts does not guarantee that the use of the website will be uninterrupted or available at any time, or that the website is free of viruses or other potentially harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

The aggregate liability of Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts relating to the use of, or inability to use, the website is limited to $15.  Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts partners and providers have no liability arising from the use of, or inability to use, the website. 

Electronic Contracting

By using the website and/or registering for membership, you are providing your electronic signature to these electronic Terms and Conditions, and you consent to enter into this agreement electronically.

General

The Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland.  If any portion of the Terms and Conditions are found to be contrary to local law, then the portion will be construed to match the intentions of the provisions within the law, while maintaining the other portions in full effect.  If Sharing Sorrows... Healing Hearts does not enforce a portion of the Terms and Conditions, it does not constitute a waiver of such portion.  These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Sharing Sorrows...
