No, there is no fee for membership.

Membership means you can unburden your heart whenever you wish, receive and offer support for whatever is shared, connect with others who personally share your sorrow, send and receive prayers, send our unique eCards to family and friends for any occasion, and enjoy all the other benefits we offer.  

The service is for anyone with something on their heart who would be helped by expressing it and connecting with others who share the same one and would understand what they are experiencing.  it is also for those who wish to benefit others by sharing their personal experience and insights. 

• A place where regardless of their circumstances,  people come to heal, grow and live their lives fully by  giving voice to whatever is weighing on their mind and heart and connecting with others who share the same sorrow and understand.

• A place where regardless of their circumstances, people learn to embrace life more fully -- life's sacredness, their own awesome innate power, and the precious connection to others who truly understand their pain.

• A place where people learn that sorrows, fears, hopes, and joys are universal, and they make us one at a very deep and fundamental level.

Sharing Sorrows… Healing Hearts is unique in several ways:

• We support all people with virtually every sorrow anywhere in the world, rather than one particular sorrow, or one geographic area.

• We are a people-helping-people service exclusively, bringing together those with the same sorrow in the Community of their choice so they can commiserate, comfort, and inspire each other. No professional services are offered.

• We support and advance the wellbeing of the whole person – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual – not just one aspect.

• Although we are a non-religious organization, we believe that spirituality and prayer are critical to getting to a better place in our hearts and our lives, and encourage and support both.

The Membership fee covers all of our services, with no limitation:

• A safe and reverent place to unburden your heart and mind, 24/7, and find comfort and inspiration.
• A secure place to connect with others who personally understand your sorrow and would benefit from hearing yours.
• Information about and links to valuable Resources.
• A place to send and receive prayers whenever you or someone else needs them.
• A selection of unique, beautiful e-Cards you can send to family and friends anytime for any reason.
• inspiring Readings offered to soothe your heart, engage your mind, and lift your spirits.
• An extensive collection of Quotes to inspire and comfort you whenever you need them.
• Beautiful photographs to lift your spirits and bring peace to your heart and mind.
• Memorials, where you can honor those who were near and dear to you.
• Private, direct communication with another Member.
• The ability to personalize your Membership by bookmarking specific Blogs, Quotes, Photos, Readings, and Resources so you can return to them again and again.

Our funding comes from donations, support of our Sponsors, and advertising. 

Sharing Sorrows… Healing Hearts is an anonymous service and will do nothing to break your confidentiality. Only you can decide to share identifying information with others, so your anonymity is in your safekeeping.

Members can instantly create a new community from the "Communities" homepage.  Or they can send us a description of what they are looking for using the Contact Us feature and we will do our best to meet their needs and reply within a few days of receiving a request.

No, Sharing Sorrows… Healing Hearts is an independent 501c(3) Maryland not-for-profit corporation.

No, your email address will never be shared with or sold to others. It will be used internally only, for any necessary verification or direct communication with you.

As a non-member, you have read-only access to much of what is offered. It is our hope that you will find it helpful and comforting to you.

This is not a religious site, it is secular. It does, however, have a strong spiritual dimension which we consider critical to a person’s healing process. By spiritual we mean having some level of faith in or relationship with a benevolent power greater than oneself.
